The project was launched in 1992, when Lillian Disney, widow of Walt Disney, donated $50 million. Frank Gehry delivered completed designs in 1991.Upon completion in 2003, the project had cost an estimated $274 million, including the parking garage which had solely cost $110 million.

It can be a great idea for the final year project...A 6 legged walker driven by an electric screwdriver.

The goal was to create a four bar linkage and demonstrate it's motion with a hand crank. We went above and beyond the rubric by adding 5 other legs and a motor. It didn't need to turn, it didn't need to be efficient, it just had to demonstrate we did the calculations and analysis of the path of the outer most point of the linkage.
